Sharon Louden's commission from the Museum of Art and Design, Miami has opened in the Knight Skylight Gallery of the iconic Freedom Tower of downtown Miami, Florida.

'Windows of the Freedom Tower' is a large-scale, permanent and site-specific installation comprised of highly reflective and colored aluminum suspended panels. Materials include braided galvanised steel wire rope, aluminium grommets, galvanised steel screws and zinc-plated steel eyebolts.

As the iconic institution re-opens after extensive renovation for its 100th year, this exhibition is a mark of profound historical significance. Sharon's work anchors the space and delights viewers with its reflective nature, allowing every Miamian to see themselves reflected in the museum's exhibitions, program and cultural expression for many years to come.
